Floristry Students Promote Wares at the Worldskills Competition

Northop College floristry students have been promoting their wares at the WorldSkills Competition London 2011.

The future florists have been showcasing their floral and fashion abilities in London.

The floristry department at Northop College performed a magnificent catwalk show for WorldSkills London 2011, which is the world’s biggest international skills competition.

The creative students produced a collection of spectacular floral dresses and accessories made from fresh flowers and foliages.

In early October they were picked from several hundred applications to showcase their talent in front of 150,000 visitors.

Visitors came from all over the world to watch 1,000 of the world’s most skilled youth, from 50 countries compete in WorldSkills London 2011.

Northop College Florist students found inspiration for their collection from nature, film and music, incorporating floral dresses, jackets, skirts and hats into their display.
