Florist Tuyen has won the Melbourne Show award.
Tuyen Hoang states that you need a passion for flowers to become a competent flower arranger.
The florist entered her floral displays in the inaugural floral gift section of the Royal Melbourne Show, coming second out of about 40 florists.
Her composition consisted of orchids, carnations, gladiolas and lillies .
She did well, although she did not make top prize.
She has worked at Stems Flower Market for a year and as a florist for seven years.
Ms Hoang stated that there are many tricks she still has to learn with regard to flower arrangement .
She said that you need a passion to do well and also think outside the box.
So what is she going to do with her masterpiece?
She will of course have to throw it away within a week as cut flowers have a longevity of a week or so.
