The UK business secretary has been visiting Glasgow on a campaign trail to emphasise the crucial role local businesses are going to play in Scotland’s economic future.
Cable went to florists, Native Flowers, in the city's west end of the city where he stressed the need for strong, successful local businesses to aid the country’s economy blossom in the future.
He stated that, " Small businesses are vital because these are where the jobs are created. The big multi-national companies are important but this is where the jobs are and they have got to succeed. That is why we have got to have policies that help them."
The British economy appears to be growing again. More of us are becoming confident to spend without fear of losing our jobs.
Small businesses are and will play a crucial role in the development of the Scottish economy.
