A Coventry-based florist is celebrating after being named the UK’s most popular flower retailer for the second year in a row.
Ben n Zaks, which offers a range of flowers for all occasions to shoppers in Coventry’s famous Round Market - one of the oldest circular, indoor markets in Europe - was voted for by hundreds of customers in an online competition.
The florist, which has been operating in the city for more than 40 years, also received lots of complimentary comments and positive feedback from both current and former customers.
"We’re so chuffed," said manager Tracie Turnbull. "Our customers are such nice people. We asked all our followers on Twitter to help us out and they were wonderful."
"The fact that it comes from our customers just makes it that little bit more special. They took so much time to write such lovely things about us."
The 44-year-old added: "People don’t always realise how hard it is running a business in the current economic climate, but reading all the lovely comments seems to make it all worthwhile."
