A Newstead based florist in Nottinghamshire is forecasting a boom this Christmas in spite of the bleak economic climate.
Bosses at florist's Bunches.co.uk state that they are anticipating an eight per cent increase in sales in contrast to 12 months ago.
The company expects to deliver 40,000 bouquets during the Christmas period.
M.D. Danielle Turner states that the company's success is due to customers wishing to shop online as it is quicker and can prove to be better value for money.
She continued to say that many consumers do not immediately relate flowers with Christmas. December is in fact the busiest time of the year, after Mother’s Day.
Flowers are a considerate Christmas gift and red rose bouquets are the company's best sellers during the festive period.
Bunches started off as a stall at Mansfield Market 22 years ago. It currently has an annual turnover of £7million.
