Floral design expert Sue Poole has enhanced her reputation further by becoming one of only 18 florists across the globe to hold the Wally Klett Wedding Diploma – one of the world’s most demanding floristry qualifications .

The Reaseheath College floral design lecturer trained and completed the Level 5-plus qualification, which is recognised as being one of the highest level qualifications possible, at the UK School of Floristry in Wilmslow, Cheshire.

The qualification is named after Wally Klett, a German Master florist who is internationally renowned for her meticulous styled designs and high standards.

"It was a very tough exam which required in depth theoretical knowledge, followed by the creation of designs with a lot of intricate wire and bead work", said the former Reaseheath floristry student.

"I was absolutely thrilled to achieve the qualification, particularly as the exam was so pressurised. It’s a fantastic accolade for Reaseheath and I’m very grateful to the college for supporting me through the training."

Sue already holds the Society of Floristry Diploma – the highest level of qualification awarded in the UK – and is currently course manager for the City and Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 Diplomas in Floristry .

She also lectures in the art of floral design to professional florists, has helped staff and students at the college claim several top medals at various flower shows, and runs her own flower retail business - The Flower Company - in Audlem, Cheshire.
