A floristry business in Audlem, near Crewe, is celebrating its first year of business, which according to the owner has been a "resounding success".
Lecturer Sue Poole, who teaches the art of floral design at the prestigious Reaseheath College in Nantwich, Cheshire, opened The Flower Company Florists in October 2009.
She has since hand selected a small team of dedicated, professional florists to assist with the day-to-day running of the very popular family business.
Commenting on the first year of trading, Sue said: "The shop has done extremely well and far exceeded our expectations. Weve been kept busy with flowers for weddings and other events in the area."
"We look to source locally grown produce where possible, as we believe it is important to support the local economy. British-grown flowers and plants are of excellent quality and variety."
The east Cheshire flower retailer has already begun taking bookings for weddings and events next year.
Sue added: "We do everything from the bridal flowers to the table decorations and decorating the church.
"We recently decorated the archway above the doorway to Bunbury Church in the pouring rain. It was quite an experience but thankfully the weather improved for the wedding itself."
