Flowers Direct has teamed up with African charity Kick4Life for the launch of an excusive World Cup bouquet .
To celebrate Englands participation in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the web-based florist has designed a new bouquet in the style of the England football flag. Striking red roses sitting on a bed of pure white Chrysanthemums highlight the Cross of St George.
According to the company, its a gift very much designed to delight "football nuts" among friends and family.
The floral bouquet is available exclusively online at Flowersdirect.co.uk at a price of £29.99. For every bunch sold, Flowers Direct will make a £5 contribution to the soccer themed childrens charity Kick4Life.
Michael Duffy of Flowers Direct said: "Not only is our bouquet the must-have gift-with-a-twist for any England fan, the purchasing sender also gets the chance to help some of the most disadvantaged kids from across the world."
Based in Lesotho, Southern Africa, Kick4Life helps use the power of football to transform the lives of some of the most disadvantaged children in the world.
According to the charity, a £5 donation can help it provide an HIV test for an orphan or vulnerable child, linking those who test positive to ongoing treatment and support.
Commenting on the partnership, Steve Fleming, co-chief executive of Kick4Life, said: "We were really pleased that Flowers Direct thought of Kick4Life when selecting a charity partner for their innovative World Cup bouquet ."
"I do hope it sells really well so that as many disadvantaged kids as possible will see a benefit."
