A new flower shop in Slough has enjoyed a positive start to business.
Petals of Colnbrook was opened in Colnbrook High Street, east Slough, last month after owner Denise Deering saw a gap in the local market.
The 43-year-old florist explained how she and her husband decided to open the store after discovering that there were no florists trading in Colnbrook with Poyle, which is "a lot busier than most people think".
She said: "I noticed an empty shop about six months ago and my husband and I thought we could make something out of it. I was a part-time florist for more than two years, so it seemed the ideal opportunity for us.
"Business has been better than expected so far and we hope it continues that way," she added.
Colnbrook residents looking to buy flowers for all occasions can visit Petals from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday. The store also offers free flower delivery on all local orders.
