The company has signed a contract with a national training provider, Intec Business Colleges, to provide staff at its principal site in Spalding, Lincolnshire with NVQ qualifications in team leading level 2 and management level 3.
The qualifications will be used by workers at the Spalding site, who are mainly team leaders in the packing department, to gain skills that will allow them to effectively manage others.
Winchester Growers is one of the UK’s leading growers, packers and suppliers of bulb-based flowers .
Its Lincolnshire base oversees the growing of protected flower crops such as tulips and lilies, while its second site, close to Its Penzance in Cornwall, specialises in growing and packing daffodil bulbs and flowers .
