A flower shop in South Wales is celebrating after winning a silver medal at the recent Malvern Spring Gardening Show .
Judges at the event awarded staff from Floralia florist in Caerleon, near Newport, second prize in the "dramatic table" flower display category.
The teams entry was themed around childhood and included plants and flowers shaped like a girls bodice, an umbrella and the popular board game snakes and ladders.
Staff members Ann Marie Alexander and Michelle Beech were chosen by florist owners Peter and Wendy Bevan to enter the competition for the first time at the annual gardening show .
Mr Bevan said: "We were terrified but it is a terrific achievement. The team had never entered any floral competitions before and entries were from all over the UK."
The co-owner added that the teams Mayor's Award success in the Christmas 2008 Argus shop window competition had encouraged them to enter the event.
The florist owners are planning to add to their medal collection by entering the Malvern Autumn Show in September as well as next years prestigious Chelsea Flower Show .
