David Austin Roses, the UKs luxury cut rose specialist, is seeking to improve its presence in Londons wholesale markets.
The rose grower currently supplies its collection of five garden rose varieties it produces to florists and specialist retailers in Britain and throughout Europe .
But the company believes that it is missing out on a large and popular scene by not supplying its cut flowers to wholesale markets in London .
Laura Stephenson, flower sales representative for David Austin Roses, said: "At the moment, we have a lot of clients in London and supply direct to them, but a lot ask if the roses are in New Covent Garden Market as well, as they go there every day for their flowers ."
"We work with wholesale markets such as Southampton and Middlesbrough Flower Centre, but we are looking to get into the large markets in London ."
She added: "The main need for our flowers is at weddings and events, as our product is unique and almost a designer brand and a lot of florists and consumers go to wholesale markets for something different."
