Hampshire is gearing up for the launch of this year’s charity garden fair in aid of St Johns Ambulance Hampshire .
The annual event is taking place at the palace ruins in Bishop's Waltham, near Winchester and will feature an appearance from Chelsea Flower Show gold medalist Andy McIndoe.
The gardening expert will be on hand for two hours to offer tips and "answer as many gardening problems or questions as possible".
Garden fair organiser Joan Ferrer commented: "The garden fair is a lovely day out for all the family with lots to do and see, both outside and inside the large marquee."
She added: "We are delighted that Andy is able to spare the time to visit our garden fair and give advice to our visitors. He is a very popular local gardening expert with a wealth of knowledge."
The Bishop's Waltham Garden Fair has become a popular fixture for Hampshire's gardening enthusiasts, with last year’s event attracting around 2,000 visitors and raising £8,000 for the charity .
The 2008 fair is being held this Sunday (May 4) from 10am to 4pm. Tickets are priced at £3.50, while entrance is free for children under 14.
