The small town of Winslow in Buckingham is gearing up for the start of the second Winslow in Bloom day.
The biennial event, first held in 2006, raises money for local charities and allows visitors to see beautiful gardens that normally remain hidden from the public.
This year's Winslow in Bloom, taking place on Sunday, June 29, will have a particular focus on raising funds for Furze Down School, which will host a variety of special events on the day.
Bridget Bradford, one of the events organisers, said: "There will be a complete range of gardens from large to small, very planned to very natural - in settings from old to modern."
She said that a number of gardens have been created for this years event by each year group at Furze Down School, including a 'colours' garden planted by the youngest children, a wildlife garden for biology studies, and a Dig for Victory vegetable garden linked to studies of World War II.
Linda Patterson, the schools headteacher, commented: "Pupils across a range of year groups have had involvement in horticulture projects within the grounds, which we aim to demonstrate at this event."
Visitors will be transported to the gardens on the outskirts of Winslow via mini-buses, while entertainment will be provided by the Winslow Concert Band outside the public hall and there will be a number of stalls selling plants and crafts.
