BoxMart is set to launch its brand new posy box design throughout UK florists later this month, which it promises will be more eco-friendly .
The new product will be available to customers in valentine red, chocolate brown, pearlescent ivory, silver and black colours, and will be launched in a multi-pack of 50 featuring 10 of each colour.
BoxMart said the original classic design will remain available to buy in a variety of designs .
The posy box will be more environmentally friendly due to the size it takes up when flat-packed, allowing greater efficiency in production as it generates less waste material and takes up less space than the previous design – helping to reduce transport and in-storage costs .
Joanne Offord, BoxMart’s managing director, commented: "The new posy box comes to market after several months of thorough research and development."
"Our key objective was to improve the environmental impact of the original product – something we are focusing on across our entire range. We worked hand in hand with our floristry customers to develop a product that fully meets their needs."
She added: "Having completed florist based trials on the new product we made significant changes, which we hope will delight florists and their customers alike. One of the most visible changes is the reduced ‘raw edges’, making the product aesthetically cleaner."
"Whilst this classic design has undergone changes, we haven’t compromised on quality or strength. Similarly, ease of assembly and the viewing window, which we know our customers relied on, are still very much part of the new design."
