New exhibitors at the Cupar and District Floral and Horticultural Society's annual flower show made an impressive debut despite the torrential rain that hit the area just days before the show .
A superb array of pot plants and cut flowers were on display at the show, which was held in the Cupar YMCA, Fife, last weekend, complimented by a number of exhibits in the vegetable section.
This year's school competition was opened up to the primary schools of Castlehill, Kilmaron and St Columba's, with pupils encouraged to sow seeds in a container and bring display them during the school holidays . The final display was made at the show .
The winners of the class, which is supported by Cupar in Bloom, went to exhibits from Castlehill.
The shows organisers have thanked all exhibitors and sponsors for their generous support of the show and said plans to encourage more people to participate in the annual flower show are underway.
