The UK and European drinks market could see the launch of the first super flower drink Hib!
Produced by Marx Ayigbede and Anita Doran, the Hib! beverage will be available in four varieties - Hibiscus and Peppermint, Hibiscus and Grape, Lightly sparking Hib! and Hib! Cordial.
The drink is made from the calyx of the Hibiscus Sabdariffa flower bush is being planned for stock in all sectors of the market.
Extracts from the hibiscus sabdariffa flower, also known as Indian Sorrel, Rosella or Florida cranberry, contain naturally occurring powerful antioxidants called anthocyanins, which protect cells in the body, according to the company .
The company also stated that the new range of drinks contain no artificial additives and are also caffeine free.
Hib! will be available to shoppers in 330ml or 1 litre cartons, although it is not yet clear which UK supermarkets have agreed to take stock of the flower drink . Prices have also yet to be confirmed.
Lightly sparkling Hib! will be available in 750ml and 250ml bottles, along with Hib! Cordial - a concentrated drink made from a combination of Glenpatrick pure spring water, dried hibiscus and spice extracts.
