Daffodils have been found springing up in various parts of the UK despite freezing weather conditions.
The recent sightings of spring flowers blooming in November have added fuel to the argument that UK seasons are increasingly being confused due to global warming .
The up-coming Christmas period usually brings a time of traditional holly and mistletoe, but it now seems more likely that daffodils will be the festive flower for Xmas .
In Wales, the yellow flowers have been bringing an early splash of colour to the garden in Swansea Museum .
Speaking to the Swansea Evening Post, exhibitions and events officer Roger Gale said: "They came into bloom about a week ago."
"They're in a quiet sheltered spot in the garden at the back of the museum which catches the sun. We've got an amazing crop of dandelions blooming too, it's a wonderful sight."
Gale added: "We've been here for about five years and it's the first time we've noticed them. No-one here has seen anything like it before."
Flowers including daffodils and lupins have also been springing up across gardens in Southampton, according to newspaper reports in the region.
