A new website has been produced that will allow trained florists to seek employment and also allow horticultural companies to advertise their jobs, revolutionising florist recruitment .
The specialist site, www.bloominggoodjobs.com is a unique and dedicated website that is staffed by a delicate mix of IT professionals, horticulturists and recruitment consultants bringing together a blend of skills.
Developers of the site claim it to be the ideal middle ground between recruitment agencies and advertising in trade journals .
Recruitment for workers involved in the Horticulture and Floristy businesses has been hard of late.
During the 80s Florists, nurserymen and garden centres would place a small ad in the local newspaper or visit the local job centre to take employees on board . In 1989 specialist agencies burst on to the scene to help find staff in all areas of work, with most professions introducing dedicated recruitment companies able to source for them qualified and experienced staff.
However florists were not as fortunate with the introduction of staff-finding centres and were, until now, left lagging behind.
Founding director of Blooming Good Jobs, Gee Hazleton said, "We have spent the last 18 months building up a database and mailing list of thousands of floricultural professionals meaning that every job will be immediately seen by a highly specific audience of suitably qualified and experienced candidates."
"Candidates can see the job details and instantly apply on line. They will also be emailed with every relevant vacancy . They do not need to register their details and the whole operation is both quick and free," added the director .
