Daffodils are not generally seen in January however they are coming up earlier each year because of the warm weather .
Joynce Weinberger, a certified master gardener said, "They usually dont come up until the end of February. Its kind of scary. Things are getting a little ahead of themselves."
Many gardens are coming back to life with bright coloured flowers which are normally seen on the spring and summer time. This has been due to the very mild weather conditions which has lured many flowers to come into bloom early.
Neil Dixon, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service said temperatures remain quite mild.
Meteorologists are putting the mild weather down to the long lasting effects of El Niño on the worlds weather system.
