London Florist To Battle It Out For Start Up Business Award

Tue, 28 Aug 2007

A flower delivery company in London has become a regional winner in the 2007 HSBC Start-Up Stars Awards .

ArenaFlowers.com outperformed 100s of new businesses to become a regional winner in the national contest, which is designed to find the most promising new businesses in the UK and recognise the promising talents behind their creation.

The awards, presented in association with the Daily Express and Sky News, involve UK businesses that have been trading for less than three years.

Established just over a year ago, ArenaFlowers.com delivers high quality products of excellent value nationwide and internationally.

The company was the first UK florist to sell Fair Flowers Fair Plants (FFP) products, promises ethical sourcing and sustainable resources, and is supplied direct from Holland’s flower markets to a central warehouse for distribution direct to the consumer .

ArenaFlowers.com will now be included in a group of 10 London-based companies that will enter the regional finals of the 2007 Start-Up Stars Awards . Each of the start-ups will compete with winners from four other regional heats for a place in the national finals, along with the chance to take away the top prize of £25,000 and the sought-after title of HSBC Start-Up Star 2007.

The winning business and runner-up will be revealed at a gala dinner at London’s Dorchester Hotel on October 24, with over 300 guests representing business, politics and the media expected to attend.
